Schools: High quality education is offered in partnership with the neighboring town of Palouse. K through 12 education is offered by a school system that is recognized for its excellence. Education is offered through a cooperative agreement with the town of Palouse. Palouse is located nine miles from Garfield. The high school is located in Palouse while the elementary and middle schools are located in Garfield. Both Garfield and Palouse have elementary schools. Classes are small which affords individual attention to the needs of the student.
Utilities: Water and sewer are provided by the town at reasonable rates. Avista provides electrical services. Telephone is provided by Frontier with fiber optics. Dialup, high speed cable, and high speed wireless connections are available in town.
Major Highways: State Highway 27 runs north and south through Garfield providing convenient access to Spokane Valley, City of Spokane, Pullman and Lewiston/Clarkston. Access to the interstate highway system is available within a short drive of Garfield.
