Good News On Van Pooling
Whitman County has completed all the
necessary paperwork to run a van pool in the county.
COAST Transportation will be running the
program and operating the vans.
What to
Expect: 2 Vans
COAST is applying for 2 vans and hopes to have them
in January. One van will be
assigned to the Hwy 27 Corridor
for Oakesdale, Garfield, Farmington, Palouse.
Cost: $75
Garfield full-time rider
Currently COAST is estimating $75 a month for a
full-time rider from Garfield into Pullman.
Drivers
Need: 2
2 drivers will be needed for each van, one main
driver and one back-up driver.
Basic training will be made
available to the drivers. In
exchange for being the driver, the driver rides for
free.

order to develop the van pool schedule.
