Just a Reminder About Solicitor's Licenses:
"All solicitors are required to have a solicitor's license, issued by the Town. If any business, salesperson, or contractor comes to your home to ask you to purchase goods or services, or leaves a flyer on your door offering goods or services, you should ask to see a copy of the permit. If there is no permit, please send the vendor to Town Hall for permit before agreeing to purchase anything.
We have a great community with a very low crime rate and we depend on the citizens to help keep things peaceful. If you see something suspicious, please report it immediately to the dispatch center.
Please remember your neighbors and city ordinances by:
- Keeping your dogs on a leash while off of your property. This protects our children and pedestrians.
- If your dogs begin barking, please bring them inside.
- Be sure to clean up after your dog if he or she uses someone else's property as a bathroom. Thank you for this consideration. A fine can be levied for this violation.
- You can begin licensing your dogs in January of each year. If you’re new to town, please stop by town hall to get to know us and purchase the dog license as soon as possible.
Help Us Keep Your Dog Safe - 2021 Dog Tags Now Available at Town Hall.
$5.00 if Spayed or Neutered; $10.00 if not.
A current rabies certificate is needed before a dog license can be issued. Also, if you are getting a Spayed or Neutered license, please bring a certificate showing such. Thanks so much for keeping your dog healthy and safe and Garfield a great community to live in!
